                  Celebrity Cruises Acquires Two New Ships for the Galapagos

Celebrity Cruises will expand its presence in the Galapagos Islands from one to three ships with the acquisition of local tour operator Ocean Adventures by parent company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. The ships will join the Celebrity Cruises fleet in spring 2016.

Tangled the Musical' Debuts on Disney Magic

The world premiere of Disney Magic's "Tangled the Musical" took place onboard the ship in Miami today, attended by members of the media, special guests, and the families of past and active military in honor of Veteran's Day.

Royal Caribbean: Sparkle lovers, rejoice: The first Tiffany & Co. boutique at sea opened on Royal Caribbean's "Oasis of the Seas" on Dec 2015.

The freestanding store will be in the ship's Central Park neighborhood, which is also home to a Coach store. The boutique, which will have the same luxury look at the company's stores on land, will offer a full selection of Tiffany jewelry, including engagement rings and watches.

Royal CaribeanWhat's it like to plunge 10 stories while watching the wake of the largest cruise ship in the world? That's the experience in store for guests on the world's largest cruise ship, Harmony of the Seas, delivered in June from Royal Caribbean International.

Royal Caribbean revealed details of a dual slide it is calling the "Ultimate Abyss." It was one of the last features to be kept secret on the 5,200-passenger vessel, which is the home stretch of construction in France.

Royal Caribbean .. In their continuing effort to be friendly Royal Caribbean is the first cruise line to earn “Autism Friendly” certification. This is a totally professional service for those with autism. Some of the many features of this complimentary program include: Priority check-in, boarding and departure. Special dietary accommodations including gluten-free options. Family movies shown in low-lit, low-volume, autism friendly environment. Toy lending with autism friendly toys. Youth staff tour, consultation, and activities to accommodate the child’s specific needs. A “social story,” available to parents before cruising, to help explain the cruise experience. Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD.. In partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, launched a $5 million, five-year ocean conservation project. 

The three-pronged initiative to help ensure the long-term health of the oceans includes responsibly sourcing 90 percent of wild-caught seafood and 75 percent of farmed fish served in onboard restaurants, encouraging sustainable tourism at ports of call and reducing the company's environmental footprint by cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent. 

Additionally, beginning today, passengers on ships in RCCL fleet -- including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises -- will find magazines in their cabins outlining the work of the WWF and information on the new partnership that sets out green goals to be achieved by 2020.  

In-cabin TVs will soon include a channel on the WWF, which works in more than 100 countries around the globe. 

Richard Fain, RCCL's Chairman and CEO, made the announcement in Donsol in the Philippines, which is home to a showcase community-based eco-tourism program to protect the local whale shark population, which is one of the largest in the world.

PACKING: If you are tired of arriving at your vacation destination with suitcases full of wrinkled cloths? When you pack try rolling your items instead of folding .. you will be surprised. Not only will your cloths pack easier and they will be in much better condition when you unpack. Bon Voyage !!!!!

FLYING: If you are flying any time soon please check with the airline before leaving home for their suggested airport arrival time. There are stories of three (3) hour wait times to get through the TSA line. Please keep in mind, it is better to be three hours early than five minutes late. Safe Travels.
